Last Thursday we had the privilege to visit the ARhus Knowledge center in Roeselare.
The ARhus knowledge center is located in the center of Roeselare. A multifunctional building with, among other things, a city library, an archive, a bicycle shed, offices, teaching rooms, meeting facilities and various cultural and meeting spaces. Recently the house is also suitable for conferences thanks to our electric foldable glass wall: Skyfold Inc..
Between the ground floor and the first floor there was a temporary exhibition space. The space can also serve as a conference center today thanks to the Skyfold wall. In this way they can use the space as a whole or partially room, depending on the type of use. Now not all mobile walls are suitable for this. According to architect Jo Baeke (B2Ai), preference was given to a wall of glass, bearing in mind the transparency of the building. The wall also had to be removed automatically in case of fire, so that the smoke and heat extraction system (RWA) can function. Skyfold came out as the best.
The program was:
Registration and coffee at ARhus
Welcome and subsequent demonstration of the Skyfold movable wall by Mr. Alain Ronse (FDS), Mr. Jo Baeke (B2Ai) en Mr. Yves Rosseel (ARhus)
Visit to the Roeselare Cycling Museum + tasting in the presence of cycling legend Mr. Freddy Maertens
Special thanks to all attendees, ARhus Roeselare, B2AI, The Cycling Museum and the organisation by FDS.
